The “Passing By” series of paintings speaks to the seemingly mundane, yet special, “slices of life”. These intimate moments are reinvigorated through the colorful brushstrokes that recall them from memory of life and times of the past. Cara’s penchant for color and light is a driving force behind her work. Each painting stands alone, but the collection of these painted scenarios should also be contemplated as a larger narrative of the human experience: life and lives, passing by.
